This Policy explains what personal information Eventloc8 ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights over it. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information you provide

Account details: name, email, phone number and location (city / state / country) when you register.
Event activity: RSVPs, saved events, and digital passport entries you create.
Organiser details: business name, contact information, event content and any verification information you submit.
Communications: messages you send us for support, reports or claims.

3. Technical & usage data

When you use the Platform we automatically collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and interaction events used to understand aggregate usage and diagnose issues.

4. How we use information

To provide the core service — sign-in, RSVPs, digital passports and organiser dashboards.
To review organiser profiles and event listings before publication.
To send transactional messages (password resets, RSVP confirmations, event updates).
To improve the Platform, measure engagement in aggregate and detect abuse.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences (such as consent choices). We use a minimal set of analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect sign-in.

When you RSVP or register for an event, the organiser of that event can see the details you submit (typically name, email, phone and city) so they can host you. For events curated from partner ticketing sites, your ticket transaction takes place on the partner site under their own privacy policy.

We share limited information with service providers that help us operate the Platform — for example hosting, database, authentication, email delivery and analytics providers — under contractual confidentiality and only to provide the service. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data retention

We retain account and event data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on the database and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; please report suspected issues to security@eventloc8.com.

9. Your choices & rights

Access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
Withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time.
Export your registrations from your digital passport.

10. Children's privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party links

The Platform links to third-party sites (for example partner ticketing pages). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies before providing information.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post updates to this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on sign-in.
